One of the men wounded was Abraham (Abram) Field. He was the nephew of Col. John Field who was killed. Two of Abraham's sons, Joseph and Reuben, were members of the Corps of Discovery. His son Keen immigrated to Knox County, later Gibson County, Indiana. He setteled on Military Donation 10 and built the first grist mill in the area. He was the fourth person of European descent to take up residence in this area of Indiana.
