The note by this article states, "George Field on this train" This was probably written by Lavica. We have no idea why he was on this train other than he was taking the excursion.
This was the last thing that needed to happen to George, losing all his money and his watch, if he had one.
If George received a photo of Jesse James hopefully it is the possession of one of his many descendants and will surface some day.
