The original was extremely faded and very little details of the people could be seen. After scanning and enhancing the photo the details appeared. There was nothing with the photograph to identify the people and only a few were known by us. The girl on the far left is Tressa Ethel Wilson, Miriam's mother. The two people seated next to Tressa are her parents James Robert and Rose Frymier Wilson. The only other person that we knew was the man standing fourth from the right who is Horace Wilson a brother of Robert. The photo was sent to several Wilson descendats and attempts were made to identify people.

In July of 2011 we went to Indiana and made personal contact with several Wilson descendants. Among the family items belonging to Paul Wilson, son of Herbert E. Wilson, a copy of this photograph was found and many of the people identified by Miriam Field! Not all of the people are identified but a few more than we knew before.

Miriam states the photo was taken around 1900. She identifies the following people: Standing left to right: Tressa Ethel Wilson, two unidentified women holding children, tall man unidentified, the next woman is identified as possibly Florence Wilson, the next man is Horace E. Wilson and the next woman, baby and man are yet unidentified. Seated left to right: James Robert "Rob" Wilson, Rosette Elizabeth Frymire, wife of Jame Robert, John Benjamin Wilson, his second wife Susan Barbara Wilson, Edgar Farmer Wilson. The next three are unidentified. The two boys seated on the ground Herbert Wilson and possible Lester Wilson. I personally feel that the two people seated on the far right are John B. and Susan Adams Wilson.

John Benjamin Wilson was married first to Mary E. Crockett. They had nine children. The last child and Mary died in 1869. John then married Susan Barbara Adams and they had four children.

Click on the photo for a larger image.
