We do not know who Clarissa was. The Morrisons are an old Gibson County family descending from David Alexander Morrison (1818-1892) and Jane Swaim (1819-1888). The Morrisons came to Gibson County from North Carolina. David and Jane Morrison are buried in the Field/Morrison Cemetery on Steelman Road, Gibson County. The information about Pearl Morrison was provided by Christopher Doyle a third great grandson of David and Jane. He descends through Sophronia Morrison, a daughter of David and Jane and a sister to Rachale Morrison who was the second wife of Joseph Jackson Field, a grand son of Keen and Anna Lewis Field.
