Guy Hinkle (1874-1906) was the fourth child of John and Mary Jennie Shoemaker Hinkle. John was the brother of Lavica Hinkle Field.
John and Jennie lived right next door to George and Lavica in a mirror image house. No doubt the two families were quite close. Guy had an older sister Nancy who, in her old age, was known to the family as Aunt Nannie. She lived with various family members and is remembered fondly by many still living. Another of Guy's siblings, Charlie, was like a son to George and Lavica. He appears in many family photos along with George and Lavica's six sons.
The shooting death of Guy was undoubtedly a severe shock to both families.
