THE JOHN WILSON FAMILY REUNION (1945)
The Wilson Reunion was organized at the old homestead September 2, 1922, near Claypool, Ind. The officers elected were: President, William P. Wilson, of Hammond, Ind.: secretary-treasurer, M. E. Wilson, of Chicago, Ill. Seventy-two (72) were present.
LIFE OF JOHN B. WILSON
Father Wilson, son of Douglas and Jeanette Wilson, was born in Starke county, Ohio, in 1823, and was married to Mary Crockett in 1846, and to this union was born nine children, six sons and three daughters: Osse Sarah was born in 1848, and died in 1849; Benjamin Wilson was born April, 1850, and died November, 1909; James Robert Wilson was born in 1822, [correct birth date is 1852] and died in 1915; Edgar Wilson was born March 23, 1854, and died May 3, 1905; William K. Wilson was born in 1856, and died July 27, 1932; Horace Wilson was born in 1858; Laura Wilson was born in 1861, and died in 1862; Lewis Wilson was born in 1863, and died in 1865; Mary Wilson was born in 1869, and died in 1869. His wife (Mary Crockett Wilson) died in 1869.
SECOND MARRIAGE
He was married to Susan Adams in 1870. To this union three sons and one daughter were born. Isaac Wilson, 1871; Monroe Wilson, 1873; Harvey Wilson, 1877, and Fannie Wilson, 1881. John B. Wilson died in 1903. His wife (Susan Wilson) died in 1920.
PARENTS OF JOHN B. WILSON
John B. Wilson's father was born in 1778 and died April 8.,1846; his mother was born in 1782 and died in 1854. His father and mother were married June 11, 1801. They came to Ohio in 1811. His father came from Maryland and his mother from New Jersey.
DEATHS
Isaac Wilson died April 1, 1943.
