The above obituary was found as a clipping in a scrapbook belonging to Lavica Hinkle Field. Lavica was the wife of George E. Field. There was nothing to indicate which newspaper it came from or the date of publication. It was copied by Miriam Grasz Field about 1968. Sarah Elizabeth and Grace A. were daughters of Benjamin R. Field and Lydia Ellen Brown. Sarah was born in Gibson County, Indiana, 21 January 1860 and died 12 March 1889. She married William H. Turpin 1 February 1888, in Gibson County. She was buried in the IOOF Cemetery, Hazleton, Gibson County, Indiana. We have no record of her having children. Grace A. was also born in Gibson County. She married James S. Smith 27 January 1886. Grace and James had one daughter, Allie May Smith, who married Alva Wilson. Allie and Alva have living descendants.
